About Maersk

Maersk is the container shipping and logistics business of the Danish A.P. Moller group, whose history goes back to a steamship company founded in Svendborg in 1904. Today it runs a global liner network from its head office in Copenhagen and sells ocean, inland and warehousing services as one integrated offer.

Since February 2025 Maersk shares vessels with Hapag-Lloyd in the Gemini Cooperation, a network built around a small number of hub ports with shuttle services feeding them. That design shows up in the data below: a large share of Maersk containers change ships at least once on the way.

This page shows how Maersk containers tracked on ShipsGo actually moved: where Maersk sails most, how long those trips took and how close they stayed to the planned schedule. Service Finder puts every Maersk service next to the other carriers on your own route.

How These Figures Are Calculated

Schedule reliability and route transit times come from Maersk containers that started being tracked on ShipsGo between 18 April 2026 and 18 October 2026 and have since been discharged. Transit time runs from loading at the origin port to discharge at the destination. Route figures average every routing Maersk uses on that port pair, so a single service in a Service Finder search can differ. A route or month is shown only when enough containers were tracked on it for a meaningful average, and volumes are shown as shares rather than counts.
